A4 Versus US Letter
A4 and US Letter are close enough to cause mistakes, but they are not the same size. US Letter is 8.5 x 11 inches, while A4 is 8.27 x 11.69 inches. A4 is slightly narrower and noticeably taller. If a PDF made for Letter is printed on A4, it may scale down, clip, or leave unexpected margins depending on the print setting. If an A4 form is printed on Letter, the bottom content can be at risk unless the printer scales it. For official forms, certificates, labels and templates, use the paper size requested by the issuer rather than relying on a near match.
