About WoW Classic Talents
The talent system in World of Warcraft Classic allows players to specialise their characters through three distinct talent trees per class. Starting at level 10, players earn one talent point per level until reaching the maximum level of 60, providing a total of 51 talent points to distribute.
Talent Point System
Each character gains talent points from level 10 to 60, totalling 51 points. Points can be allocated across three specialisation trees, with each tree requiring a minimum investment to unlock deeper tiers. Most builds focus heavily on one tree to reach the powerful 31-point talents.
Tree Progression
Talent trees are structured in tiers, requiring specific point investments to unlock higher tiers. You need 5 points in a tree to access tier 2, 10 for tier 3, 15 for tier 4, 20 for tier 5, 25 for tier 6, and 30 for tier 7. Some talents also have prerequisites within the same tier.
Respecialisation
Players can reset their talents at class trainers in major cities. The cost starts at 1 gold and increases each time you respec, capping at 50 gold. This encourages careful planning and makes talent choices meaningful throughout your character’s development.
Build Planning
Effective talent builds typically focus on maximising one tree whilst taking key talents from others for synergy. Popular builds include 31/20/0, 17/34/0, or deep specialisation like 0/31/20 configurations, depending on your intended role and playstyle.

Building Effective Talent Specifications
Levelling Builds
Focus on talents that improve solo survivability and damage output. Popular choices include improved mobility, reduced downtime, and enhanced damage abilities. Many players opt for hybrid builds that provide versatility whilst levelling.
Raiding Specifications
Raid builds prioritise group utility and maximum effectiveness in your chosen role. Tanks focus on threat generation and survivability, healers on mana efficiency and healing output, whilst DPS classes maximise damage potential through specialisation.
PvP Configurations
Player versus player builds emphasise burst damage, crowd control, and survivability against other players. These often differ significantly from PvE builds, incorporating talents for escape mechanisms, interrupt abilities, and burst potential.
Hybrid Approaches
Some players prefer hybrid builds that allow flexibility between roles or activities. Whilst these may not excel in any single area, they provide versatility for players who engage in multiple aspects of the game without frequent respecialisation.
